Our client is oil and gas company and seeking to meet candidates for the position of HSE Co-ordinator / Engineer.
Candidates will be employed by Cataly Partners during approximately a year, to be recruited as permanent staff for our client in The Hague.

Position
Working from the organisations Management Division the HSE Engineer / Co-ordinator has the following tasks and responsibilities:

• Ensure application of the HSE policy in the activities (exploration, drilling, projects, production, abandonment) in compliance with applicable rules, regulations, reference documents and best practices.
• Define and monitor performance of internal and external HSE training.
• Represent the Company by participation in HSE working groups of the industry.
• Represent the Company on HSE issues when liaising with authorities.
• Accompany authorities during HSE visits, audits and inspections and follow-up actions.
• Initiate and participate in HSE risk assessments and studies.
• Participate in HSE meetings of operational departments.
• Participate in anomaly, incident and accident investigation teams.
• Internal and external auditing.
• Permitting and licensing, including contacts with authorities.
• Guide a team of two safety advisors.
• Responsible person for radioactive (NORM) matters, including maintenance and implementation of NORM procedures and instructions and liaising with authorities.
• Organise HSE awareness sessions onshore and offshore for own personnel and contractors.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, with at least 5 years professional experience in the field of HSE.
• Radiation expert level 3 (stralingsdeskundige niveau 3) or willing to study.
• Organisational skills are essential, communication skills, team spirit, show initiative, able to motivate and service-minded.
• Applicable knowledge of the Dutch legislation on mining and health & safety (Arbo) legislation.
• Good knowledge (spoken and written) of Dutch and English.
