For a client in the Rotterdam area we are searching an experienced Project Consultant / Authority Engineer (58), fluent in French, for a large scale international development in the field of energy and petrochemical facilities for storage and handling.
Experience with EIA and permitting and licensing is essential. Further, working knowledge of storage, handling and transportation facilities for LPG, LNG, fuel components and/or petroleum blending and trading terminals.

Position:

The Project Consultant / Authority Engineer is responsible for the project preparations phase of a large scale projects for the development of terminals. Focus on the process of EIA, permits, licenses and connected communications with authorities and other stakeholders. The position is an owners representation (joint venture team). Candidate shall be fluent in French or a native French speaker and have good command of English.

Criteria:

  • Experience 10 years or more.
  • Recent experience in the process and details of permitting and licensing for large scale industrial investments projects.
  • Experienced in HSE engineering, project engineering or authority engineering of large scale projects in a complex international environment.
  • Self starter, can work independently on a senior specialist level and can represent client in the process of permitting and licensing.
  • Relevant technical background, for example mechanical engineering, environmental engineering or chemical engineering.
  • Availability is 80 to 100% FTE during at least one (1) year.
  • Optional extension of the contract in 2010 - 2011 period.
  • Available for several extended business trips to France during 2009 and 2010.
  • Good command of English and French (fluent / native).

Remunderation package:

In accordance with the job requirements and market situation.
